Position Description:

ZF's global Occupant Safety Systems (OSS) business develops technical solutions for passive safety systems: Seat Belt Systems (SBS), Steering Wheel Systems (SWS) and Inflatable Restraint Systems (IRS). With more than 25,000 employees around the world, OSS plays a strong role in ZF’s success. ZF is seeking a Accountant I to join the SBS team.

Primary Responsibilities:

Daily basis:

  • To manage Inter-company invoices, for account coding and responsible to have those recorded on a timely basis by the Damatics team

  • Manage 3 rd party supplier invoices, that do not go directly to the Shared service for processing. Responsible to clarify and fix any issues related to Purchase Orders discrepancies

  • In charge of the site purchase orders requisitions, responsible to assign the correct cost center and account numbers

  • To prepare the debit memo charges for training, fixed assets transfers, or any other charge related to other intercompany sites

  • Complete the expense reports associated with the BTA card for business trips transactions for the candidates that do not hold a company credit card

Biweekly basis:

  • Responsible to prepare the cashflow forecast

  • Responsible to collect the Cashflow forecast from the operating plants, consolidate the information and submitted to Treasury department

  • Prepare the journal entry books for Audit review

Monthly basis:

  • Prepare and post majority of A835 journal entries at month end

  • To run month end close process (as many times as necessary) at close time

  • Prepare the reconciliation of the Headcount in coordination with HR

  • Complete the OSSHQ flash variance report

  • Perform the KP8 profit walk, and statistical data submission into KP8

  • Prepare and upload the mid-month forecast

  • Complete the OSSHQ forecast template variance analysis and risk & opportunities reports

  • Prepare books reconciliations

Quarterly basis:

  • Perform the quarterly AR12 requirements

  • Perform the Quarterly lease data base requirements

  • Prepare any other quarterly report required by Corporate

Annual basis:

  • Perform the annual SOD (segregation of duties)/GAR (general access review) test for all the SAP users requests for unit and making sure there are no conflicts in the accesses

  • Complete annual State Tax Package for Tax Department

  • Prepare the Operating plan for the next 3 years: salaries and general spend

  • Complete the OP package for OSSHQ

  • Complete the semiannual/annual external audit requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Automotive Tier I Supplier.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience in SAP OR9 system it will be a “plus”

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.

Minimum Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
