General Motors Infotainment Validation Engineer - ENG0038909 in Warren, Michigan

Responsible for developing Integration solutions to meet vehicle requirements. Need to fully understand the VDP process. This activity includes problem solving with support of the Integration leaders.Work requires an understanding of engineering concepts. Must have the ability to work with specific direction and independently and make decisions based on general practices and procedures. Developing proficiency in project planning.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage Validation Test Status (Hardware & Software)
  • Coordinate and approve Test Plans (internally and externally with suppliers)
  • Review and Approve Engineering Work Orders
  • Actively Participate in PDT Meetings
  • Report validation status to Program Teams and other leadership forums
  • Review and approve Sourcing documentation
  • Lead Creation of ADP&Rs with Suppliers
  • Document Issues identified during testing
  • Implement lesson learns

Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others including global partners
  • Working knowledge of Vehicle Development Process
  • Working knowledge of Performance integration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Analytical and program coordination problem solving skills
  • Ability to apply understanding of automotive engineering terms
  • Working knowledge of Performance Integration related applications
  • Working knowledge of infotainment systems
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering
  • At least 3 years of engineering experience
  • This position requires the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis
