General Motors Freight Bill Audit and Pay Analyst - FIN0010819 in Warren, Michigan

About the role:

  • Ability to work with Global Teams on implementing the global freight bill audit process across all regions

  • Conduct carrier reviews on a weekly/bi-weekly basis

  • Ability to work cross functionally with internal and external customers as related to Global Freight Pay and Audit Process
  • Identify efficiency opportunities through technological solutions and process simplification
  • Responsible for Carrier Aging / Invoice Resolution
  • Work with Post Audit auditor on recoveries and implement corrective actions to mitigate future claims
  • Generate reporting and analytical commentary on spend visibility and allocation of internal costs as required
  • Ability to apply the concepts of LEAN and Six Sigma principles to the Freight Bill Audit process on a Global Basis
  • Possess audit skills to review freight bill invoices for accuracy to contracted rates and completeness
  • Knowledge of Super Check Writer application
  • Design and drive global common processes across all regions
  • Basic understanding of EDI on-boarding
  • Ability to be detail oriented in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment
  • Ability to be flexible and handle changes effectively
  • Work with plants on related journal entry corrections
  • Support/Perform outbound freight monthly accounting close


  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance/Logistics or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 8 to 12 years of experience in Logistics/Business/Finance process
  • Strong understanding of the Inbound/Outbound logistics process
  • Excellent analytical / problem solving skills
  • Strong understanding of relational data
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • High level of independent judgment
  • Strong communication and present ation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and in teams


Preferred Qualification:

  • Bi-lingual in Korean and Portuguese
