General Motors Advanced Engineering Group Manager - Global Connectivity Center - ENG0039455 in Warren, Michigan

Lead a technical team responsible for the development of connectivity technologies and solutions for vehicles. This North American team works closely with its other global connectivity center Adv Eng. and R&D peer groups, the related global function teams, the different vehicle program teams and industry leading connectivity suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

•Lead a team of engineers responsible for the development, testing and delivering to execution new advanced, vehicle connectivity solutions

•Collaborate with GM Engineering Teams, Vehicle Programs, Vehicle Architecture and Design, taking emerging connectivity solution into execution stage

•Work closely with its other global connectivity center Adv Eng. and R&D peer groups on developing connectivity solutions.

•Work closely with NA suppliers and regional standard and regulation bodies

Required Skills and Experience:

•Master of Science – Electrical Engineering

•Sound and vast understanding and hands on experience in Wireless communication technical field

•10+ years of technical experience including system development, analysis and troubleshooting

•Demonstrated levels of outstanding performance, communications, organizational & planning capabilities, and GM core leadership behaviors

•Proven leadership skills which translate to high degree of inner self confidence and ability to motivate others

•Exceptional cross-functional communication skills

•Proven ability to solve complex issues with implementation constraints   

Preferred:

•EE PhD degree in Digital communication or signal processing

•DRE or equivalent experience across all phases of GVDP

•3+ years of proven leadership experience
