Bartech Technical Services of Canada, ULC, an Impellam Group company is seeking an experienced recruiter to join our Mississauga team. This role is 100% recruiting, no sales or business development; we have someone to do that for you. You get to do what you do best, recruit!


  • Utilizes innovative networking, recruiting and candidate retention strategies in achieving required recruiting metrics.

    • Reviews open order reports daily and prioritize active requirements
  • Concentrates on-going efforts on effective networking and recruiting in order to pipeline the greatest number of potential applicants (through cold calling, networking, resume databases, referrals etc.) and in identifying and “connecting” with prospective sources of applicants.

  • Conducts comprehensive searches and interviews for qualified applicants via database, networking with candidates, advertising, online research, referrals, etc.

  • Prepares candidate resume and profile for presentation to the customer

  • Schedules client interviews and manages compensation negotiations

  • Utilizes VMS tools to submit prospective candidates and track recruitment progress.

  • Treats applicants with dignity and respect and utilizes their time wisely in the screening and evaluation process. Ensures applicants are appropriately pre-screened in accordance with company standards. Thoroughly orients contractors relative to policies, procedures, payroll, etc.; maintains contact with applicants after placement to ensure their ongoing satisfaction with their contract.

  • Partners with applicable team members on market and network penetration, resource and applicant satisfaction strategies and tactics.

  • Partners with team members in identifying applicant skill deficiencies and coordinating recruitment efforts to address skill gaps.

  • Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner at all times.

  • Background or orientation in entrepreneurial/sales, retail/customer service or human resources

  • Strong interviewing skills and understanding of local labour market

  • Successful track record as a recruiter; fundraising or community leadership experience valuable, positive reputation as a relationship builder with market resources and networks

Required Experience


  • 6 months to three years successful recruiting experience in a staffing agency environment

  • Bachelor Degree or College Diploma preferred

  • MS Office Suite, Web based software tools, VMS and CRM experience

  • Strong internet research skills with knowledge of relevant employment oriented social media sites
