Lead People & Culture Business Partner – Associate Director
The Lead People & Culture Business Partner is an integral leader in the People & Culture Embedded team. The Lead Business Partner will lead a team of People & Culture (P&C) Business Partners across the U.S. who provide talent support and strategy to our Service Line professionals. This role will collaborate closely with the P&C Service Line Director to understand business needs and strategic priorities in order to ensure delivery of an aligned talent strategy. The Lead People & Culture Business Partner will report directly to the P&C Service Line Director.
Core Responsibilities:** · Partners closely with P&C Service Line Director and Service Line Leaders to develop and execute talent strategies (ex: succession planning, talent engagement, retention, development, promotion) · Collaborate with P&C Business Partners to influence and advise the business, work together to create solutions · Provide HR Business Partner level support to a specific talent population within the Service Line · Provide appropriate geographic based people support related to culture, engagement, diversity, and inclusion · Development and ongoing training of team · Collaborate with other P&C Business Partners and Generalists to knowledge share, leverage best practices, and drive greater consistency in the partnership/support that the client receives · Maintain a holistic view of initiatives and priorities across and within P&C Service Line teams with a special emphasis on timing and promoting opportunities for consistency in experience · Maintains advanced knowledge of key industry and organizational metrics to support the strategy of the firm, service line and regional practices, and the business priorities of the market, office or practice · Uses data and metrics to make critical decisions; identifies patterns; reports findings and trends · Proactively interacts with client base to strategically identify People & Culture/HR Talent goals and objectives to ensure they are consistent with the business goals of the client base supported · Supports the execution of the firm strategy by co-designing and implementing a business-aligned people agenda that delivers measurable value to the business and an exceptional experience to employees and Partners · Partners with hiring managers/partners and Campus/Experienced Hire Talent Acquisition to ensure top talent is sourced and selected for critical hiring needs · Manages, mentors, and coaches staff within his/her scope
Qualifications (Characteristics, skills/abilities, academic) The ideal candidate will be: * A business-minded HR/People leader with multiple years of increasingly responsible People & Culture/Human Resources leadership positions with demonstrated ability to thrive in a culture that is collaborative, service-oriented, and consultative * A functional People & Culture/Human Resources specialist who delivers services with a pragmatic approach to business partnership and operations * An outstanding people leader with an engaging and approachable personality. Will have significant history of coaching and mentoring staff and influencing change at all levels * A proven expert in prioritization and negotiationwith demonstrated ability to be effective in supporting multiple business leaders/Partners working in various locations across different business units * Highly collaborative and action-oriented, with a leadership style characterized by strong influencing skills * A change agent who can build collaborative relationships across a matrix organization * Thinks team; not self
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 8 - 10 years of HR related experience
- PHR or SPHR certification and prior People & Culture/ HR consulting experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing People & Culture/ HR and strategies
- Demonstrated experience in defining and implementing detailed People & Culture/ HR business processes
- Working knowledge and experience with HR systems and business technology
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- A reputation for discretion, integrity, judgment, responsiveness, and strong attention to detail
