Stryker Demand Planner Medsurg in Venlo, Netherlands

Your Key Responsibilities:

The Demand Planner will be responsible for building the EU Demand forecast, by analyzing market trends and capturing existing and future market requirements. For that objective the individual will facilitate necessary communication with business leaders and Global Operations Integrated Business Planning Managers. The individual will work with regional marketing and operations partners to reconcile and synchronize demand forecasts in order to maintain product availability while keeping inventory investments at targeted levels. The forecast provided will be used by the Supply and KIT Planners to help determine manufacturing needs and resources required to meet the plan. Investment decisions could be made based on the information provided by the Demand Planner.

  • Ensure on time delivery of high qualitiy purchasing and selling forcasts of the devision

  • Meet customer service needs assuring a high standard of customer service and supply chain planning metrics performance, while sizing the optimal inventory and meeting the committed invetory investment targets.

  • Manage fill rates, forcasts accuracy and inventory metrics for the responsible devions

  • Use demand planning tools and technologies and suggest improvements for the current demand planning processes

  • Participate in developement, modification and improvement of procedures, policies, processes and technologies within the organization

  • Lead IB meetings at divisional level and leverage best available cross-funtional inputs and apply judgement based on knoledge of the business robust cross-functionals discussions

  • Contact person for the Stryker Sales Companies within the European Devisions regarding all outstanding purchase orders and shipments

  • Responsible for the purchases of saleable goods (service level KPI, days backlog critical items)

  • Coordinate th Product Lifecycle Management within the local organization levels

  • Supplier evaluation

  • Reporting to Franchise Supply Chain Manager

  • Internal communication: Staff, Finance, Warehouse, Product Management, Customer Service, Technical Service, KIT-build Department, Marketing, RA/QA, Asset Management

  • External communication: Vendors, Stryker subsidiaris, Forwarders

What we are looking for:

  • Higher Vocational Education (HBO)

  • At least several years work experience as a Demand Planner in an logistics international environment

  • Experience in material & controlled management, inventory

  • Experience in demand management & forecasting (in sales, marketing operations, finance, manufacturing and supply chain issues), order management, logistics, manufacturing, procurement, inventory and or contract management

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to drive results through a global metrix structure

  • Proven ablility to communicate and present to all levels of the organization

  • Strong analytical and quantitive skills

  • Ability for decision making under pressure and capacity to make good judgement under critical situations

  • Accurancy and priorization in a fast-paced environment

  • Team work and customer service orientation

  • Knowledge of international regualtions

  • Prior experience with demand planning tools like Oracle Demantra, Demand Solutions or SteelWedge is a plus

  • Fluency in English and a second language at international divisions is a plus

  • Must be proficient in Project Planning Software, Flow Charts and Management of data base tools

  • Must have experience using statistical software packages and must be capable of extensive spreadsheets analysis
