Job Description

Purpose of the job is to support as executive assistant the three executives of the innovation hub in Silicon Valley.

The role supports the VP Global Innovation Hubs, VP IoT Platform and the Director Program Management with executive administrative tasks.

As the hub will provide and coordinate access to start-ups, high tech, venture capital, accelerators and other strategic partners for ZF, attract external talent and innovation, build an IoT platform, the executives need support by a experienced executive assistant capable of successfully completing diverse tasks without detailed guidance and with responsible accountability.

Support new group employees in transitioning to Silicon Valley location, key account to external services like corporate housing, hotel partners etc.

Enable a professional work environment for frequent visitors from other company organizations, plan, prepare and organize such visit.

Drive the needed activities to run the innovation hub in Silicon Valley with regards to facility, processes, interfaces to non-local functions like HR, Controlling, IT etc.

Be the go to person for every aspect of the innovation hub to be managed and resolved from an operational perspective (like purchasing process, travel management etc.)

Track financial and headcount planning, run forecasts and monitoring.

Required Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will present proven experience assisting in ramping up a startup environment as well as significant experience in working in a global automotive work environment. He/ She will have proven successful in assisting high level executives in achieving their diverse tasks.

The candidate is experienced in using standard Microsoft office and ready to use basic enterprise tools, e.g. SAP, sharepoint etc.

The candidate will be highly customer-focused in combination with having strong organizational and operations skills and experience managing a business that places an emphasis on innovation and technology development. High integrity and honesty are absolute requirements, and the candidate will be able to effectively interact and communicate at all levels of the company and with external constituents. Skilled at operating and performing in a complex organizational environment, he/she will deliver impact through superior collaborative skills.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated an understanding of the cultural differences between regions and countries.
