Citizens Bank Senior Instructional Designer in Smithfield, Rhode Island
This Senior Instructional Designer will design and develop training programs for all divisions of Citizens Bank. This includes assessment and evaluation methods to measure the effectiveness of training programs. The Sr.Instructional Designer will be directly involved in the initial and on-going design and development of training programs for Citizens.
Primary responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
Managing multiple assigned instructional design projects (classroom and eLearning) that meet needs of Citizens
Financial Groups Retail Business.
Performing need assessments to determine needs for retail organization and making appropriate recommendations for
design of new curriculums or enhancements of current curriculums to meet needs
Developing surveys, assessments, and evaluations methods for all curriculums to determine effectiveness
Analyzing assessments and evaluations to identify any performance gaps in training curriculums
Making appropriate design enhancements and/or recommendations to retail training curriculums based on analysis
Performing front-end analysis by comparing actual and ideal performance levels in the workplace; identifying
opportunities and strategies for performance improvement through training design and curriculums
Participating in business related meetings as requested or required
3 or more years of experience with demonstrated understanding of the theories, techniques, and appropriate applications
of training interventions used for performance improvement and experience meeting training needs of business (Financial
services / banking experience preferred)
Strong communication skills (verbal, nonverbal and written)
Experience interacting with others within an organization to produce meaningful outcomes
Knowledge of Adult Learning Theory
Experience understanding the implications of current and evolving computer-based electronic communication within a
Savvy with software used as part of instructional design process (ex. Authoring tools, Articulate Storyline, Captivate,
CS6 Design Applications (Photoshop, Illustrator), iStock, MS Office (Word, Excel, Access), Quizmaker, SharePoint,
Smartsheet, SNAP, SnagIt, WebEx, WIDS)
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00-5:00
