Analysis engineer responsible for developing analysis models to provide design direction of future engine technologies and perform vehicle simulation studies for vehicle performance, drive quality, and fuel economy.

  • Develop vehicle simulation models of a wide variety of vehicle and powertrain combinations using an analysis tool based on MATLAB/Simulink
  • Exercise vehicle simulation models to provide design direction for engine, transmission, and driveline with a focus on optimization of vehicle performance, drive quality, and fuel economy
  • Develop efficiency maps of future engines using analysis models, experimental data, and proprietary analytical techniques
  • Evaluate new propulsion system technologies and their impact on performance, fuel economy and drive quality using analysis tools/methods
  • Perform fuel economy, performance analysis to support advanced technology projects
  • Develop new analytical methods to improve capability, efficiency, accuracy of current standard practices
  • Provide component-level and/or system-level design recommendations to product team management based on interpretation of analysis results
  • Participate in product design and development teams and regularly present analysis results and recommendations to engineering peers and leadership



  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficient with MATLAB/Simulink
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills


  • Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with vehicle fuel economy and performance simulation or testing
  • Engine and/or vehicle calibration experience
  • Engine dyno development experience
  • Experience in Powertrain and/or vehicle controls
