CooperStandard IT Purchasing - Business Engagement Manager in Novi, Michigan
As part of the journey towards World Class Operations, we are deploying technologies to advance digitalization of the Global Purchasing Business Processes utilizing global enterprise resource planning and Cloud/SaaS solutions to automate transaction activities and facilitate touchless processing. We are also developing Spend Analytics solution utilizing leading Business Intelligence platforms to support Global Spend Management for the Purchasing function. The key to success for this role is creatively applying business and technology intelligence in the selection, process and solution design, deployment and prioritization of technology solutions for the advancement of the digitalization roadmap for the Purchasing Business Processes.
This will involve maintaining strong relationship with business teams to develop technology strategies and assist business partners in identifying new capabilities aligned with their objectives, leading business case and pay back analysis, providing functional requirements definition covering process and data needs, and managing execution of initiatives from inception through transition to the application development and support teams.
This position will also be responsible for managing a team of Business Analysts (BA) by leveraging Cooper Standard HR resources and processes for recruitment, development and retention.
_Education and Qualifications:_
Minimum Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 7-10 years relevant business domain and industry experience with large global Purchasing systems implementations preferably SAP. Prior leadership experience preferred
7 years of demonstrable experience with Procurement processes and related ERPs particularly SAP MM and Coupa P2P platforms
7 years of demonstrable experience with the source to pay (S2P) purchasing processes covering direct, indirect, capital, and tooling materials
Demonstrable experience with supplier EDI, EDI formats, and suppliers’ EDI enablement
Proven experience deploying Evaluated Receipt Settlement (ERS) and EDI 810 invoicing solutions in a manufacturing business environment
Demonstrable experience leading an IT Purchasing Competency Center in a global business environment
7 years of demonstrable experience in international manufacturing business environment, preferably in the automotive industry

Functional business acumen in procurement or materials management disciplines
Must be able to develop and present strong business case to negotiate priorities with all levels of the company, and form partnerships at all levels of the organization
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to technical and non-technical audiences.
Must have good analytical and problem-solving abilities to support programming knowledge and experience.
Ability to make challenging decisions in a timely fashion across highly complex and multidimensional opportunities
Proven influencing and persuasion skills
