Job Description / Information
The Job's Mission
-Directly supporting all Stryker products associated with Orthopaedic Trauma and Foot & Ankle procedures and optimising customer service.
-Focus on supporting our customers to provide a best in class procedural solution. (Including covering cases / surgery).
-Working with the local sales representatives to coordinate training and in-theatre support to ensure exceptional levels of customer care both in theatres and in the wider hospital are delivered. (Facilitate or help with product demonstrations, workshops and training events).
How the vacancy arose
This is a new role has been created to support a thriving, growing business in Yorkshire and the East Midlands.
Geography and location
Ideally, this candidate will live in Yorkshire, East Midlands of England. Access to M62 and M1 would be advantageous. The primary focus for Trauma will be the Yorkshire area and East Midlands with some travel to the North West. The Foot and ankle role will involve supporting the regional foot and ankle team on a limited basis.
Key Activities & Accountabilities (HCP = Health Care Professional)
Help implement training, provision of instruments and implementation of a total trauma award into new accounts.
Plan, execute and monitor all measures necessary to help achieve industry leading support.Service and providecustomer care for physicians, surgical theatre staff, hospital administration and sterilisation departments. This will include working within a theatre and clinical environment.
Provide theatre and other HCP staff training on Stryker products. This could include organising and conducting training workshops for surgical & theatre staff.
Working closely with other Trauma East England Sales team members and members of the Foot & Ankle Sales team, within the defined region. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager for East England and National Sales Manager Foot & Ankle, to ensure customer service levels are best in class.
Communicate essential features and benefits of products and their clinical application.
Demonstrate outstanding ethics at all times. Treat customers and other employees with respect. Represent Stryker in the best possible light.
Auditing theatre and hospital stock (implants, disposables and instruments) – managing consignment levels and ensuring good asset management and stock rotation.
Behave with integrity, deliver on commitments within required timescales.
Understand the clinical application of the broader Stryker portfolio to offer our customers an understanding of our wider product range.
Conducting trials and evaluations of product in theatre and clinical environment as required.
Make observations of customer needs and liaise with sales colleagues to follow up on and introduce new or additional Stryker product and/or support.
Maintain a basic business plan highlighting daily, weekly and monthly objectives.
Develop an understanding of the local healthcare environment and hospital/specialty plans and strategies in our region.
Additional responsibilities as directed by RSM (Regional Sales Manager).
Certified scrub nurse or ODA, professional training in a medical environment preferred.
Theatre experience essential. Minimum 2 years experience of orthopaedic theatres.
Would be ideal / advantageous if had some familiarity with Stryker procedures.
Commercial acumen, an appreciation of budgetary and cost issues surrounding theatres and surgical procedures.
Computer skills, MS Office.
Presentation skills with modern presentation media.
Workshop/demonstration skills/training skills.
Good working knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
Ability to construct a basic business plan, highlighting daily, weekly and monthly objectives.
Have an ability to build rapport and understand the importance of relationships in selling.
Able to engage with customers at different levels and ask appropriate questions to establish needs of our customers.
Ability to work in a collaborative manner both with colleagues and customers.
Self-disciplined, focused and organised.
