  • Supervise manufacturing operations to provide efficient utilization of personnel.

  • Maintain quality workmanship and production schedule.

  • Enforce company policies, procedures and safety rules.

  • Problem solving including identifying root causes, gathering data, and facilitating solutions.

  • Must be able to develop new processes and procedures to promote a lean environment.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • College degree or equivalent required.

  • 2+ years supervision experience preferably in a union environment.

  • Prior experience in welding, painting, or assembly operations is a plus.

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts a plus.

  • Basic understanding of how to read process sheets, blueprints, and forecast sheets.

  • Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills.

  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills along with strong organizational skills.

Physical Effort:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
