Facilitate at least 3 green belt level projects throughout the organization. Success will be measured based on projects driven to completion from scoping through claiming cost savings/process improvement.
Assist in training personnel in Lean and Six Sigma tools including standard work, cellular manufacturing, one piece flow, SMED, Kanban, pull systems, process mapping, root cause analysis, poka-yoke/error proofing.
Aid in project scoping and facilitation to help build a culture of continuous improvement.
Create mathematical models of processes, including touch/flow time analysis and first pass yield.
Creation of process flows and value stream analysis to better understand the business and inputs/outputs of a process.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
College student going into their Junior or Senior year studying Industrial engineering or related field; knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools and DMAIC steps.
Strong problem solving, data analysis, and organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to be work independently and lead teams.
Light physical effort- intermittent sitting, standing, walking, no major physical strain
Position is both in an office and manufacturing facility. You could be exposed to moderate level noises, fumes, dust, heat and dirt. This position also requires one to work both alone and as a team.
