Citizens Bank Treasury Solution Operations Manager in Medford, Massachusetts
TSO Manager leads a team of specialists that analyze and execute a wide range of complex treasury solutions operational processes, including multi-million dollar transactions with aggressive timelines.
Responsible for coordinating credit and financial activities and works with clients from the Commercial Bank, Business Banking Clients and International Banks to support the Trade Finance and Supply Chain business.
Ensure that all documentation and letters of credit are completed accurately, in a timely manner, and according to trade guidelines and regulations.
Oversees and enforces risk mitigation controls, maintaining a high level of data stewardship, adhering to Bank policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, while ensuring exceptional customer service to Commercial and Business banking clients.
Conducts problem solving and projects of moderate complexity with little or no direction.
Implements and maintains daily production requirements.
Evaluates existing as well as new products/services and provides recommendations to improve processing techniques and embeds a culture of continuous improvement.
Define and execute an operational strategy to support the company's overall business strategies.
Develop/ create Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), for performance monitoring and quality measurement purposes, pertaining to the Business Operations and monitor the achievements of its individual unit on periodic basis.
Provide professional direction/advice on all trade finance related matters within the Bank.
Compile relevant MIS on periodic basis for management.
Ensure system and quality enhancements by monitoring the respective activities and processes implemented, and by keeping abreast with new methodologies and practices in the marketplace.
Recruits and hires employees, performance appraisals and reward and recognition of employees.
Motivate, incent and reward desired behaviors by providing feedback and utilizing available reward and recognition programs.
10+ years in the financial services industry with deep trade finance knowledge
5+ years of managerial experience
Excellent people management and communications skills
Strong stakeholder and change management skills
Ability to participate in strategic meetings with business partners
Proved leadership skills
Expert knowledge and understanding of all regulations governing the Trade Finance business, including UCP 600, 522 and 700 and ISP 98
Ability to drive transformational change, initiate, plan and implement process improvements.
Plan, allocate and organize team resources to meet the changing business needs
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Strong Project Management skills
Advanced PC skills - Microsoft Office Suite
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all business partners
Coach and develop staff, create, plan and implement activities that will support the development of team members
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Strong ability to multi task
The ability to handle day to day work challenges confidently, willing and able to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities and rapid change
Working knowledge of all aspects of Risk - Credit, Regulatory and Product
Background in Operational Metrics, and well versed in operating procedures and process maps
Ability to comprehend complex transactions
Strong understanding of accounting practices in a banking environment
Ability to manage a diverse workforce
