Maintenance & EHS Manager
Division A - Global Electronics
GENERAL SUMMARY: Design, implement and monitor maintenance and EH&S systems which ensure plant machine and facility availability and plant safety that are equal to, or above those expected of a world class facility. Work in collaboration with the operating staff to make sure that the plant is safe and operates at peak conditions every time.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement the plant’s overall preventive and predictive maintenance programs for process, test, and CIM equipment.
Responsible for the plant’s EH&S systems, policies, practices and procedures as well as the plant infrastructure and its facilities.
Occasionally responsible for leading multi-plant projects/initiatives.
Keep records of equipment failures and provide needed information and data to the Plant Manager.
Keep plant’s maintenance manual and safety manual up to date, making sure that they comply with requirements of the local, state and federal government.
Directs the activities of the maintenance department including: Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities and programs, drives autonomous maintenance actions with Operations, and possess the equipment acumen to support day-to-day machine repair.
Responsible for providing technical direction, training, and functional management of manufacturing technicians, facility technicians and EHS personnel.
Maintain and create, as required, process, test, and CIM equipment documentation to support the repair/refurbishment of both new and existing equipment.
Responsible for maintaining, repairing, refurbishing process & product tooling/capital, including overseeing the planning, procurement, installation, acceptance and maintenance of tooling and equipment spares.
Responsible for administering and managing tooling and equipment calibrations.
Responsible for the spare parts stockroom.
Assist new technology development with emphasis in continuous improvement and benchmarking.
Support the execution of Design of Experiment studies.
Capable of reading mechanical CAD drawings with understanding of GD&T drafting principles.
Ability to track equipment downtime with the systems already in place and implement continuous improvement activities to improve machine availability.
Oversee the use and the utility of the plant CMMS to manage PM’s, equipment spares, and equipment inventory/status.
Establishes their department budget and manages expenditures to plan.
Provides regular reports in both structured and non-structured formats on project status and issues.
Lead Autonomous Maintenance activities designed to raise the skill level of manufacturing associates.
Synchronize work processes with other departments in the facility.
Receives minimal supervision or direction from management. Empowered to manage their programs and make decisions to effectively and successfully launch new programs as well as maintain existing programs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Comply with and support the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies and procedures.
Required Education and Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline required; advanced degree in related field preferred
Experience and Skill Requirements
• Minimum of ten years experience in an electronics manufacturing engineering environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of three years experience in electronics assembly/manufacturing.
• 2-3 years of project management experience.
•Previous knowledge of electronic product manufacturing technologies preferred.
•Prior experience in customer interface at multiple levels and in multiple disciplines preferred
•Strong project management skills.
•Project Management Professional Certification (PMPC) preferred.
•Experience with supporting PFMEA and control plans.
•Green Belt / Black Belt Six Sigma trained with practical experience
•Familiarity with personal computing software (i.e. MS Word, MS Excel, Visio, MS Project, MS PowerPoint.).
