Job Description

We are looking for a new team member in the R&D department for our Wind Turbine Gearboxes in Lommel

Your tasks as Safety Engineer - Gearboxes (m/f/d):

  • Work with design teams to identify and address safety requirements

  • Develop a deep understanding of gearbox handling and use on customers side accordingly the worldwide valid standards (Machinery Directive) & Up to date with worldwide standards

  • Develop efficient ways for documentation creation & Detect and fill documentation gaps

  • Accurate and timely delivery of product documentation for new and running products.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal training, reviewing professional publications, establishing and expanding professional networks, and participating in professional societies.

Your profile as Safety Engineer - Gearboxes (m/f/d):

  • Bachelor- and/or master diploma in mechanical, electrical engineering or similar

  • First experience within product safety

  • Knowledge of machinery directive and experience in preparation of installation explanations & Insight in standards and their relevance to technical documentation

  • Knowledge in mechanical design and a feeling for technical writing

  • Experience in product documentation (with EN ISO 12100 is an Advantage)
