Responsibilities

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Lab Technician will perform a variety of tasks associated with the production of various products including testing, quality inspection, and other duties needed to ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety policies.

• Work safely, complying with all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures, proactively identify and report potential safety hazards • Perform quality testing as required for all phases of the manufacturing operation and maintain test data in appropriate data bases, i.e. Excel • Conduct quality checks for the manufacturing processes and equipment to ensure compliance with procedures • Maintain the production Quality lab environment so that the area is clean, organized and documentation meets compliance requirements • Performs and/or coordinates calibration of equipment • Document lab procedures • Support the manufacturing operation by operating plant equipment and perform machine set-up as needed in addition to lab duties • Effectively communicates and works with others to build a cohesive team environment

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience and Job Skills):

• Associates degree or equivalent semester hours in a scientific discipline with a minimum of 1 year of Quality Assurance experience in manufacturing, validation, QA, QC, or other applicable functional area to the job • Able and willing to work shifts / schedules as needed including overtime as business needs warrant • Able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, kneel, stoop, sit, walk extensively throughout the course of a 10 - 12 hour shift • Develop an understanding of the production equipment and processes • Demonstrated teamwork – must be able to work successfully and effectively with others

DESIRED:

• One or more years of successful work experience in a manufacturing process or lab environment preferred • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and a technical background that provides value added customer interface • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Good record keeping and measurement skills • Ability to balance multiple priorities • Strong oral and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills • Able to read, write and speak English fluently • Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, E-mail, ability to learn company‐specific programs)

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule

This role will provide QC coverage on weekends and the regular schedule is 4 days per week, 10 hours per day. Scheduled work days are Sunday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday each week.
