Tenneco Controls Engineer in Kettering, Ohio

We are looking for an experienced Controls Engineer to join our Kettering, OH manufacturing facility. This person will lead new controls/plant automation projects. This person will also provide support to all areas of the plant where controls engineering expertise is required, including launch support and customer initiatives. The person in this role will be the controls expert for all new and used equipment installations. This person will report to the Focus Factory Manager and will become a valued member of our manufacturing team therefore, opportunities for advancement are strong.

Support operations by troubleshooting, maintaining, and programming plant machinery.
Responsible for programming and designing PLC & HMI to existing machinery.
Responsible for project management on existing machine control projects.
Collect data from plant automation.
Work on repairs and capability of manufacturing equipment.
Risk analysis on machine controls for obsolescence.
Programing and troubleshooting Cognex and Keyence camera systems.
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering; controls engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
5-7 years’ experience in manufacturing.
Automotive experience is preferred.
Experience with Allen Bradley Logic PLC controls platforms.
Experience working with Motoman Robot software and programming.
Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics is preferred.
Experience with Human Machine Interface (HMI) programming.
Familiarity with PanelView Plus and PanelView hardware.
Ability to use RSView Studio and PanelBuilder software.
Experience with Ethernet networking.
Intermediate understanding of vision systems.
Ability to design, diagnose and troubleshoot vision applications.
