What you will do
As a Test Engineer, you will lead the design, development and implementation of test systems and test equipment for US and global service depots, to enable the repair of Stryker products around the world. You will be an SME in the electrical and software design of test systems. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership qualities, serve as technical lead advisor, and partner with a cross-functional team.
Some of your other responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Develop user requirements
Create mechanical and electrical design for test systems
Architect, write and debug software for test systems
Perform test systems validation
Partner with external vendor on design and/or validation, as appropriate
Monitor and control progress of projects to ensure sound application of engineering principles are used and design intent is being followed
Coordinates with other units, vendors and senior leadership as needed to ensure specific cost, time and/or regulatory standards are met
Partner with appropriate other engineering disciplines like Product Engineering, RA, QA, AO, Operations Engineering, Advanced Sourcing, Service Operations Engineering, external vendors and International teams
What you need
B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering
6 or more years of experience; Masters of Science with 5 years experience; PhD with 2 or more years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated electrical design and software programming expertise (preferred experience with LabVIEW and/or .NET)
Expertise in product safety testing (e.g. IEC 60601)
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated mechanical/electrical design and problem solving skills
Experience working in a regulated industry
