Assignment: Independently set-up and operate specialized sewing machines to sew precut fabric including making the necessary or required adjustments to the machinery during processing such as changing needles, guides and thread. -Must have the ability to sew complex material efficiently while adjusting techniques to match the fabric style. Set-up and operate other miscellaneous equipment within the Air Filtration area and perform other assignments as assigned by the Supervisor. Meet productivity guidelines while producing top quality parts according to company specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and specifications including following process routing instructions as well as perform measurements on the product as required. Must have the ability to prepare and maintain all quality documentation including initial, in-process and final inspection. Must have the ability to perform 1st piece, in-process and final inspection of the product which includes observing stitching to detect defects in the product. Obtain an Inspection Stamp within 6 months of full time employment. Maintain equipment by performing minor maintenance and cleaning. & troubleshoot problems as they arise. Eye exams per FPS-HR-00053. Good math skills are a must and must be detailed oriented. Must be able to read, write and understand English. Must be able to work overtime including weekends as required. This is a 1st shift assignment.
High School diploma or equivalent. Experience 5 years previous sewing experience in a manufacturing environment required.
