Citizens Bank Wealth Management Residential Lending Channel Manager in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania


This position will be the primary strategic driver for Wealth Management's (WM's) residential lending efforts, enhancing WM's partnership with both the Home Equity and Mortgage lines of business to deepen deed-secured product penetration. Ensures tight strategy and execution alignment to bring a holistic approach to high net worth clients. Improve the understanding of our Advisor sales force in the products and processes of the residential lending offering. Focus/improve the alignment of goals, strategies and incentive compensation plans of the disparate LOBs to get clients in the right channels to optimize business opportunities within Citizens Bank. Lead and partner in recommending, planning and implementing policies/procedures that help deepen wealth management Advisor focus on residential lending, meeting and exceeding loan production goals indirectly via training, partnership, reporting and ensuring overall accountability. This position is expected to positively affect residential lending efforts across Wealth Management as evidenced by increased loan production, high client satisfaction scores, and internal support partner feedback.Wealth Management's (WM's) dedicated internal resource for deed secured lending. • Responsible for the vision, strategy and implementation to deepen WM share of wallet for residential lending• Lead and participate in recommending, planning and implementing policies/procedures that help deepen Wealth Advisor focus on residential lending • Develop and/or coordinate training sessions for wealth advisors to understand mortgage/HELOC products, when and how they are applicable, and the processes from application through bookingDrive disciplined tactics with product partners to analyze current performance and address gaps.Achieve and Exceed WM’s deed secured Loan Production goals• Work with regional and national sales managers to ensure appropriate focus on identifying and maximizing residential lending product penetration.Deepen reporting capabilities, providing executive management with weekly summaries on performance and opportunities.• Enhance and increase deed-secured loan production by tackling pain points, misalignment of resources and thorough understanding of products and value propositions. • Help develop and define time lines, check points, progress maps to ensure broader team is engaged and focuses on the right activities. Support sales force and drive accountability through feedback, reporting tools, training, job aids, marketing materials, etc.Champion cross-LOB partnerships and drive an enhanced partnership toward mutually defined goals• Drive WM's mortgage and home equity efforts to greater volume and efficiencies. • Become WM's primary liaison with Mortgage, Home Equity and Retail lines of business regarding residential lending efforts. Deepen partnerships and utilize the Mortgage and Home Equity LOBs’ expertise in building suitable strategies and objectives specific to WM. • Key player in coordinating a deeper bank-wide approach to ensuring the unique needs of HNW clients are addressed in accordance with field and client needs and feedback• Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure a seamless, comprehensive partnership with Mortgage and Home Equity lines of business (sales, application and credit approval processes, back end operations, exception requests, issue escalations, etc.).• Aid in understanding and streamlining process flow of leads between Retail/Branch, MLOs, Premier and Private clients. Augment partnership with NY mortgage team in particular to maximize bank-wide opportunities to drive incremental Wealth Management business• Work with other LOBs to align incentive compensation to achieve desired outcomesCommunication, collaboration and training• Exhibits comprehensive written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation development and delivery skills, and shows high level of expertise when interacting with colleagues up through senior management.• Proactively builds relationships both within the WM departments and across business units. Shows ability to instruct and educate advisors regarding credit options and techniques to overcome objections during the sales process. Ability to view credit situations from multiple angles and can debate the merits of a given credit solution and defend position.• Brings forth ideas, solutions and drives actions individually and through others to resolve business and customer challenges.• Conducts or attends meetings as appropriate with support partner teams and LOBs within the bank to ensure effective program support and understanding. • Engage cross-functional partners to ensure corporate level buy-in of proposed products/services to streamline efforts and deliver product changes in a reasonable and agreed to timeframe
