II – Supplier Quality (full-time, one position)

Chassis Systems Duncan seeks Engineer II – Supplier Quality in Duncan, SC to

ensure plant quality, support APQP activities and product launches, resolve

supplier concerns, and monitor supplier performance. Evaluate, audit,

strategize, and develop suppliers. Facilitate change management for supplier

related activities/changes. Perform

product launch activities in accordance with APQP/PPAP guidelines. Monitor

supplier product launch quality activities for customer in accordance with

APQP/PPAP guidelines. Monitor supplier rating system and activate appropriate

corrective actions when needed. Plan and ensure safety, processes, equipment,

and budgets are within local and corporate standards/requirements.Monitor and support approval process through

ENGIS of supplier PPAP’s for Engineering Changes. Conduct periodic surveys of

supplier facilities and manufacturing process to determine adequacy and

capability of quality control and ability to comply with complete

specifications. Initiate supplier-related 8Ds to resolve nonconformance,

delivery, warranty, and/or other performance issues, communicate with relevant

QE and/or supplier, and ensure timely closure and effectiveness. Participate in

Purchasing/SQE departmental meetings to aid in organizational planning, reach

objectives, and review Supplier Quality Assurance activities, results, and

policies. Perform initial problem investigation and containment activities at

plant for purchased direct materials.Must have Bachelor’s Degree (or

foreign equivalent) in Electronics/Mechanical Engineering or related field,

plus one year quality engineering experience. The one year must include

experience with APQP, PPAP, and PFMEA.In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent), we will accept a

Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) earned through any suitable

combination of education, training, and/or experience, as determined by a

professional evaluation service.All experience may be acquired
