We are currently looking for a motivated, high potential individual with a passion for entrepreneurship to join an exciting multi-disciplinary team in the role of Chief Financial Officer & Controller. This is a critical leadership role, supporting the strategy development and launch of an internal start-up business seeking to unlock the potential of vehicle and customer data. This is a fast paced, high energy, high expectation assignment. The Global Strategy & Innovation Team has aggressive launch dates, and there is much to be done:

We are looking for an exceptional finance and accounting leader who will track, report and prepare analysis on all financial aspects of a new business venture in a highly regulated industry. The ideal candidate must be willing to take initiative, embrace change and be comfortable taking on an evolving set of responsibilities.

What You Will Do:

  • Design and lead budgeting/forecasting processes and accounting

  • Manage monthly financial reporting, including state regulatory filings and proactively communicate findings and variance to leadership team

  • Work closely with start-up team to understand and evaluate various marketing and revenue-related initiatives

  • Manage business development deals including contract review, financial analysis and revenue recognition

  • In-depth financial analysis and modeling projects including pricing, investments, M&A, and strategic planning

  • Work closely with IT to support systems build out of financial operations

Industries You Have Worked In: Insurance, accounting, financial services, automotive finance, consumer lending

What You Will Accomplish:

3 months:

  • Develop short and long term roadmap for financial operations, including payment systems

  • Engage with vendors to source outside capabilities as needed

6 months:

  • Functional front and back end financial capabilities

9 months:

  • Completion of state financial filing requirements

Who You Are:

  • MBA, Masters in Accounting or Finance, CPA

  • Knowledge of SOX requirements and/or state insurance laws

  • Start-up experience preferred

  • 4+ years of finance, accounting, business development, insurance, consulting, or other analytical work experience

  • Demonstrated financial and analytical capabilities with ability to model various scenarios to help business partners make sound financial decisions

  • Disposition must be suited for a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Great organizational and multitasking skills

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity/change in a high-growth, fast paced environment
