Citizens Bank Senior Copywriter in Dedham, Massachusetts
We need a Senior Copywriter who can help set the creative bar high. Using conceptual and innovative thinking, you will develop creative solutions to complex business problems, transforming the strategic opportunity into best-in-class creative.
This role will report directly to our Associate Creative Director, Copy and requires 7-10 years at an in-house or external ad agency with both print and digital experience (including online ads, email and direct mail). An understanding of how to write and build relationships with financial clients is key. We want to go beyond wealth management clichés (white haired couples on boats) and demonstrate our genuine desire to help clients of all ages shape the future they want.
Create copy solutions that reinforce and elevate the “Simple. Clear. Personal.” brand platform.
Work from agreed upon creative briefs with designers, CD and project teams to develop and execute brand building and direct marketing concepts for major financial products and marketing initiatives.
Develop big ideas that can be campaigned across channels, including direct mail, email, online ads, video scripts, branded experiences, signage, and print.
Bring your established insight and experience to our high-net-worth audience and products. Understand the challenges of our wealth management business partners.
Expertly craft copy to motivate conversion — making the benefits of complex banking products clear and personally-relevant to the consumer.
Successfully collaborate with colleagues to incorporate requested changes from internal business partners, department, legal and compliance reviewers.
Adopt an attitude of continuous innovation and iterate on work to improve results.
Develop and nurture relationships with colleagues — creative, account management, traffic —operating as a positive agent for improving internal communications and workflow.
Coach and mentor less experienced writers and act as a role model with a high creative standard and energetic work ethic.

Superb writing & editing skills
7-10 years’ copywriting experience with an agency or brand
Expert in creative concepting and generating campaign-level ideas
Knowledge of best practices for email and direct mail marketing
Experience writing for financial clients, specifically wealth management or financial advising
Proven ability to research, self-edit and write creatively under tight deadlines
Excellent organization and decision-making skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
A versatile, team player with a positive attitude

Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications or similar field
