The Senior Project Manager (SPM) will be responsible for a portfolio of large-scale interactive construction projects and managing large Corporate Real Estate Programs throughout their life-cycle; ensuring deliver to time, cost and quality. This position will focus on the Retail Network Transformation Program. This is a revolutionary program that is re-positioning the company and includes building/renovating a very large number of branches and wealth centers over the next 5 to 10 years. They are technology and advice driven, intended to change the way we interact with our customers and the way they bank. It is a very exciting project, a unique opportunity, and a fast paced program with a high profile.

This individual will work directly with internal clients and vendors with limited supervision. This person will be responsible for retail branch build outs in the New England region, reporting to the Head of Retail Construction, and will include local travel, as well as some nights and weekends to support branch relocation and openings.

The ideal candidate will have considerable experience in managing large scale construction real estate projects & programs, and knowledge of regional sectors of real estate in the US market. They should have managed projects from inception through delivery of final product. The candidate will have relevant experience in delivery of retail banking (construction/real estate). The candidate must be attuned to value the details as well as be able to understand and drive towards the big picture. Analytical and quick thinking in a fast-paced environment are essential. The Senior Project Manager is an enthusiastic problem solver and thrives on being engaged at all levels of the project. As the key point of contact for both the client and the project team, the SPM plays a pivotal role in the success of all major corporate projects.

Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Developing scope, budget, and schedule for large scale renovations and new builds.

  • Managing RFP’s in conjunction with Strategic Sourcing for the various services required to execute programs.

  • Ensuring each project adheres to required governance, including documentation and processes.

  • Establishing and building relationships across Citizens Bank to facilitate achievement of strategic goals, while maintaining momentum throughout the project life-cycle.

  • Determining internal / external resources required to deliver corporate real estate projects. Will have responsibility for staff identification and hiring process.

  • Responsibility for accurate and timely reporting against project plans and budget in line with appropriate governance.

Qualifications

Experience and Skills:

  • 5 – 10 years of experience in corporate Real Estate, Construction and Project Management

  • In-depth knowledge and project application of Project Management for real estate/construction methodologies and full project lifecycle including documentation standards, risk, issue, assumption and dependency management along with change controls process

  • Familiarity with process modeling and workshop facilitation

  • Competent use of MS Office applications to include MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and Word.

  • Ability to travel as required

  • Proven track record of end to end deliver to time, cost and quality

  • Experience as a self-thinker with experience working through issues and escalating only when appropriate.

  • Advanced communication skills both written and verbal

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering or related field. Master’s Degree Real Estate, Construction or MBA desired

  • PMP certification desired

Hours per Week: 40

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday
