Position Summary: Provide management and leadership of the accounting and finance functions for the Aerospace Filtration Division sites in Colorado Springs and Sylacauga. The Accounting Manager oversees the business and financial operations of AFD and shares responsibility for the organization’s economic and financial performance. The Accounting Manager will perform financial analysis, develop financial planning processes and support design and implementation of overall business plans. The position manages all aspects of month end close, monthly forecasting, annual planning, internal & SOX controls, audit processes and deliverables, accounting policies compliance, driving working capital improvements, and balance sheet risk management.

Essential Functions: • Oversee daily operations of the finance / accounting department. • Direct and coordinate company financial forecasts and budget management functions. • Prepare and manage all audit and SOX controls/requirements with the target of zero deficiencies • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial records in accordance with company policy and US GAAP • Manage and execute accurate and efficient month, quarter, and year end close for multiple sets of books. • Manage timely and accurate reporting of all deliverables with Corporate Headquarters. • Prepare and/or review monthly account reconciliations and ensure discrepancies recon • Participate in FP&A analysis including monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results against budget. • Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations, product investment decisions, and capital spending. • Direct financial audits with internal and external auditors • Maintain accounting policies with adequate controls that are consistent with Parker policies to safeguard assets and minimize risk • Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting, etc.
Scope/Supervision and Interaction: Manage Plant Accountant and AR / AP roles reporting directly into the position. Role reports to the Division Controller.
Qualifications: • Bachelor Degree from four-year college or university in Finance or Accounting; MBA or Master’s preferred; • CPA and/or CMA license • Minimum of 5-10 years finance or accounting experience; preferably in a senior level • Minimum of 3 years management experience • Strong knowledge in US GAAP, managing controls in a SOX environment and developing / managing appropriate controls and policies • Leadership ability to develop a world class accounting team and to proactively communicate to all levels business issues & performance • Independent thinker, problem solver, someone who questions and seeks to continuously improve • Good interpersonal skills and ability to be a strong team player • Ability to work with and through others to achieve desired results • Ability to read and interpret documents such as accounting procedures and safety rules • Must have the potential to develop career and progress beyond this position • Excellent analytical skills to question and improve financial operations and processes • Strong analytical and investigative research skills • Ability to develop and organize tasks to completion in a tight deadline environment and manage multiple priorities • High degree of initiative and results orientation with a track record to show successful continuous improvement • Strong computer skills including Word & Excel • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization
