Position Summary:

We are looking for a Technical Development Specialist to lead our associate development initiatives through leading creative training events and educational programs.

Technical Development Specialist responsibilities include communicating with managers to identify training needs and mapping out development plans for teams and individuals. TDS are responsible for managing, coordinating and / or conducting all maintenance training programs.

Our ideal candidate has experience with various training methods, including on-the-job coaching, mentorship programs and e-learning. Experience with different projects, like program administration and soft-skills development, is also essential. You should also be familiar with the instructors, equipment and educational material requirements for each project.

Ultimately, the role of the Technical Development Specialist is to oversee all professional and technical development of District Tech and CSR Associates.

Shift: TBD Major Responsibilities:

  • Map out annual training plans for Tech and CSR to ensure 40 hour Minimum annually per associate.

  • Map out annual training plan for Service Admin to ensure available training is completed.

  • Conduct District-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed

  • Assess instructional effectiveness to determine the impact of training on employee skills.

  • Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session and report out recommendations for improvement.

  • Collaborate with District Trainers within Area to align training priorities and develop/utilize best practices.

  • Customize training for locations maintaining specialized equipment.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify top performers and accelerate development.

  • Be the liaison between Field Maintenance, Area Trainer and Corporate Training to improve and prioritize instructional design.

  • Maintain updated curriculum database and training records.

  • Advise on the readiness for promotion and provide timely feedback on associate performance and development.

  • Host train-the-trainer sessions to develop internal subject matter experts.

  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment.
