Citizens Bank Lead Monitoring Analyst in Charlotte, North Carolina


The Compliance Department at Citizens Bank is responsible for providing superior regulatory support and guidance to all lines of business and for evaluating, tracking and reporting on the state of regulatory compliance. A critical component of performing this responsibility is conducting periodic compliance monitoring of key consumer focused regulations. We are seeking a Lead Monitoring Analyst to provide technical leadership for the development, implementation, and administration of continuous and automated quantitative monitoring within Citizen’s Compliance Analytics Program.The candidate will report to the Director of Compliance Analytics and will be responsible for every phase of the future design and ongoing implementation of the quantitative monitoring program. This position requires the individual to collaborate independently with teammates throughout the Compliance Department, Technology Services, and data stewards across the enterprise and all business lines. This is a high-visibility role that emphasizes leadership, strong project management capabilities, and business analysis skills within a technical environment. Additional emphases include:Data sourcingDatabase oversight within the guidelines of the Data Management PolicyAnalytics and effective data visualizations (SSRS and Tableau).FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:Technical lead for quantitative monitoring program;Assist in the implementation and ongoing development of all compliance analytics initiatives – end to end process from warehouse development to report/dashboard generation and analytic output;Collaborate across business lines and functions to assist in identifying approved data sources for newly-identified data elements for incorporation into the compliance monitoring database;Project management responsibilities include assisting with developing project plans, establishing reasonable targets, managing to deliverables, escalating any risk and identifying mitigation plans, when necessary;Business analysis responsibilities include assisting key stakeholders and internal customers in defining needs, documenting business requirements, and translating into technical specifications;Develop ETL processes for common data source formats and, at times, unstructured data;Provide oversight and continuous improvements to the design and functionality of the compliance monitoring database;Develop and recommend effective dashboards (i.e., translating complex data to tell the story through data visualization) using various reporting tools, including Tableau and SSRS;Collaborate with Compliance teammates and Business partners in conducting trend analysis, determining emerging trends or compliance risks, and advising on remedial action plans; Staying current on changes to Data Management requirements, best practices in data sourcing and analytics, and collaborating with data stewards and the broader analytic community within Citizens Bank.


Required Skills/Experience: 5+ years prior experience involving database design, configuration, and analytical skills to achieve business and/or technical requirements.Demonstrated experience with SQL, SSIS and SSRS, and strong visualization capabilities (Tableau preferred).Demonstrated experience with data warehousing and relational databases.Excellent project management skills: demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize effectively across various objectives and key stakeholders.Creativity and the ability to think “outside the box” resulting in innovative or different approaches to a particular task.Strong, effective interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, and listening).Education:Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in computer science, analytics, or related fieldHours & Work ScheduleHours per Week: 40Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-5Why Work with UsAt Citizens, you’ll find a customer-centric culture built around helping our customers and giving back to our local communities.
