Stryker Warehouse Person- 1st Shift in Cary, Illinois

Primary Job Function:

To efficiently put away and store all finished goods, plus accurately fill customer orders in a safe and proficient method. Also perform all Lead responsibilities in their absence.

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Forklift Operations.

  • Effectively stack and store all product and equipment in warehouse.

  • Loading and unloading trailers.

  • Demonstrate the ability to get on and off the forklift throughout the day.

  • Must have depth perception and visual acuity.

  • Putting away finished goods from manufacturing.

  • Verify every skid that is put away. (Qnty, Lot and labels)

  • Must use warehouse knowledge to store and rotate products correctly.

  • Keep the production staging isles clean and clear.

  • Receiving and putting away outside finished goods.

  • Unload trucks with outside manufactured finished goods.

  • Order allocation, trailer building and manifesting.

  • Pull customer orders by carrier and allocate inventory.

  • Go into orders and manage how the product will be constructed on the pallet.

  • Print the customer orders and manifests.

  • Assist the drivers with the paperwork and coordinating the docks.

  • Accurately pick and fulfill customer orders.

  • Correctly pick product, lot and quantity displayed on scan gun.

  • Stack cases on the pallet to insure the product and box integrity.

  • Wrapper/Point Desk.

  • Load skids on and off the wrap machines.

  • Replacing roll of wrap when empty.

  • Verify product, lot and case quantities.

  • Must be able to learn the following systems.

  • Handheld scan gun.

  • Warehouse management software.

  • Microsoft Office.

  • LX / Infor

  • Associate self-service software.

  • FX / UPS software knowledge not required but a plus.

  • Communication Skills.

  • Works well with all Sage employees.

  • Able to communicate as required.

  • Takes instruction and has positive attitude.

  • Perform Cycle Counts.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Adhere to all company policies and GMP’s.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities:

  • Learn from shift Lead how to manage all aspects of shift.

  • Must be able to give direction to employees.

  • Motivated to advance into Lead position when available.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Read and write legibly.

  • Basic math and counting skills required.

  • Verbal communication skills need to be clear.

  • Valid driver’s license and transportation to and from work.

  • Ability to work scheduled hours consistently.

  • Working OT: During the week, Saturdays and or holidays as needed.

  • Pass forklift test and become licensed.

Professional Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required.

Physical Demands:

  • Activities Include: Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, climbing stairs, hearing, acute vision both near and far, and depth perception.

  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. above shoulder height and pass back screening.

  • Ability to rotate neck and torso to operate forklift.

  • Tolerate Environmental Conditions: Inside and outside, rain, snow, ice, noise, odors and dust.

Travel Required

  • May include driving to offsite warehouse.

  • Outside training if required.
