Powertrain - Product Engineer designs, developments, tests, and releases of major vehicle powertrain systems and components to meet customer requirements and specifications. Centered around diesel engines and automatic transmissions product design and development. Powertrain - Product Engineer is responsible for the product design, test, and release responsilities of powertrain components. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop effective and effiencent powertrain solutions.
Powertrain component, subsystem, and system level design and release.
Powertrain component, subsystem, and system level development testing.
BoM development and management
Conduct component and system level FEA, CFD, 1D cooling/performance based calculations.
DFMEA, DVP, and production PPAP requirements
Development of SoW for effort to be completed (internal or external)
Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and IPT's through the generation of briefs
Working knowledge of Teamcenter, UG/PLM++, SAP, and Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
1-3yrs experience in the design and release of diesel engines and automatic transmissions.
Previous military product development a plus
Formula SAE experience a plus
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

Ability to work in an office environment, build/fabrication shop, and testing.
