In this role you are a senior member European Finance Shared Services Centre Team, driving improvement projects and helping to create a new culture of continuous improvement and efficiency within the setting of finance shared services. Your main accountabilities will be:

  • Leading the continuous improvement strategy for European Finance Shared Services

  • Manage the implementation of continuous improvement projects

  • Coach the leadership and management teams on Lean and Six Sigma tools

  • Develop modules & deliver all training requirements for European Business Services teams in the areas of Lean and Six Sigma Methodology.

  • Track improvement project deliverables, and manage risks, effectively communicating progress with Key Internal Stakeholders on continuous improvement initiatives

  • Actively develop your internal and external lean six network to bring new initiatives and insight on Lean Six Sigma to the Shared Services Centre

The  Six Sigma Process – Associate manager has a critical role to play within the European Finance Shared Service Centre (EFSSC)in Amsterdam. Reporting to the EFSSC leadership team, this role will set the strategy for continuous improvement and build the roadmap for delivery as part of the daily work of the finance shared services team. You will need to be hands on, coaching and guiding senior and middle management in bringing innovation using Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodology. You will be responsible for managing the project portfolio on continuous improvement, communicating progress internally and escalating issues to stakeholders. You need to be an expert in using Lean and Six Sigma tools, and able to put this into the context of finance processes. You will need to be a skilled trainer and change manager so that our team learns from you and enhances their capabilities in this key focus area for shared services. Being able to deliver improvements in process and eliminate waste is a crucial part of the strategic goals for shared services at Stryker, and you will part of that winning strategy. Profile:

  • University degree in Business or Finance

  • Qualification in Lean Six Sigma methodology. Black belt qualification is a distinct advantage

  • Experience of leading and implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodology in a finance or shared services environment an advantage

  • Excellent communication and training skills

  • 5 years + experience of Lean within a process focused environment

  • Proven track record for delivering process improvements in office or business environment

  • Proven ability to act as lean coach

  • Experience as in change and risk management an advantage

  • Experience in influencing and people management

  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative and proactive

  • Team player
