Job Description / Information

Mission of the job:

Key project team member for SAP ERP implementation for procurement and planning value chains. Keen focus on data extraction, cleansing, and mapping as well as system simulations and testing. Ensure adequate representation and support of SAP implementation through key activities such as customer, hyper care, data support and training end users. Act as subject matter expert and super user in purchasing and planning modules in SAP.

Satisfies customer demand by monitoring and driving accountability to the committed supply plan for finished goods suppliers. Proactively identifies, reports,and escalates constraints within the end-to-end Supply Chain which will impact Customer Service levels. Coordinates the activities with manufacturing plants and FG suppliers to maintain inventory at planned levels. Monitors supplier on-time delivery of FG inventory while ensuring availability of materials in line with planned requirements. Develops and maintains necessary records and files for efficient direct procurement activities.

Systems Knowledge

  • Support business simulation testing throughout SAP system implementation

  • Execute user acceptance testing for SAP implementation

  • Assist in defect closure for system testing failures in SAP

  • Subject matter expert in purchasing and planning modules in SAP

  • Create and deliver system training to end users

  • Utilizes analytical skills to interpret system requirements and put together financial projections.

  • Issue suggested purchase orders based upon MRP system suggestions.

  • Request changes to purchase order dates from suppliers based upon MRP system suggestions to fulfill customer demand.

  • Update MRP system to ensure clear communication of expected FG inventory stocking.

  • Update MRP system to ensure stocking priority of FG products according to business rules.

  • Maintain item master detail in accordance with established business rules.

  • Manage ERP system alerts and troubleshoot issues related to purchasing receipts, supplier on-time delivery, and inventory accuracy.

  • Create and maintain scheduling agreements and supplier data within ERP system.

  • Maintain ASN creation and receipt process for finished goods within ERP system; create ASNs as required.

  • Manage purchase requisition process for reverse logistics / vendor returns.

  • Facilitate set-up of new FG products in support of NPD and M&A integration projects.

Customer Management

  • Update the business on the status and direction of your business on a weekly basis.

  • Update internal customers on key supply chain issues and drive them to resolution.

  • Update intercompany purchase orders based on supply plan

  • Monitor supplier inventory levels to maintain continuity of supply and safety stock attainment.

  • Understand and report on committed supply plan attainment.

Data Analytics

  • Data cleansing and construction in current and new ERP system

  • Prepares, submits, and may explain periodic reports on areas of responsibility (such as detailed cost analysis, plans, and project results).

  • May be required to report on current product performance to forecast, safety stock, build attainment, product availability, and inventory levels.

  • Use data analytics to expose and address the gaps in the committed supply plan for FG suppliers.

  • Evaluate and prioritize ERP system alerts to troubleshoot issues related to supplier on-time delivery.

  • Apply problem-solving and root-cause analysis methodology and tools to effectively identify and resolve process and/or system-related issues.

  • Process Development

  • Determine PO and customer order customer strategy during system transition and execute to plan

  • Key partner to support creating and managing interim solutions amongst different SAP go lives by division.

  • Develop and implement new processes to better support business changes.

  • Own and develop direct procurement procedures.

  • Utilize cross-functional influence to improve end-to-end supply chain processes.

  • Ability to articulate thoughts professionally, representing both Operations and the Company, and present to large groups, including senior leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in business or related discipline.

  • 2-5 years of purchasing, planning, and/or supply chain preferred.

  • Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Must be proficient with PCs.

  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.

  • Strong planning and organizational skills.

  • Preferred Functional skills – MRP, Purchasing system/procedures, Supplier Management, Supply Planning, Supply Chain Management.
