Select proper mandrel and set up inspection and mold machine, prepare tank with correct lube and set proper traverse setting.
Operate inspection machine, cut out any known defects, splice ends together, and coil into tub.
Operate mold machine, paying particular attention to any defects like cracks, excess rubber, alignment of mold and smoothness of outer surface.
Measure the O.D. of mandrel with an O.D. tape or sliding calipers to determine if the mandrel is within specification limits of diameter and ovality.
Prepare lube tank and treating machine, agitate the lubricant properly and apply a consistent application of lubricant to the mandrel.
Prepare and complete necessary paperwork.
High School diploma or GED
Production work preferred but not required
Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Basic knowledge and use of hand tools
Sound decision making skills
Good math, reading, writing skills
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Mental and visual acuity for production of quality product
Strong trouble shooting skills
Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office package
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to work well in a team environment
Employee must pass Pre-employment screening
Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule
There are multiple openings for this position. The work schedule will be either 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:00pm) or 3rd shift (11:00pm-7:00am).
The starting pay for this position will range from $$12.50 - $13.67 depending on experience.
